Thank you for considering us for a big game hunt. As licensed professionals, we are committed to giving you an exciting and pleasurable experience in taking a quality trophy whitetail or elk. Our hunting includes over 2,200 acres of high fenced prime, managed country. We provide transportation to all two man stands with heaters and guides for every hunter. Your game will be field dressed, quartered and packed in ice for travel. We will provided you with a digital photograph of you and your trophy as a lasting memory of your time at Dead Man's Pass Ranch. We want our hunters to take the very best whitetail they possibly can. We spare no expense supplementing with proteins and minerals to maintain body weight and promote antler growth throughout the year. As most people know it gets rather warm in south Texas during the summer months. For that reason we have 25 water troughs and 7 dirt tanks to ensure our animals remain healthy through the summer. Hunt): Dead Mans Pass Ranch is now offering bow hunts to small groups of hunters. Join us for a bow hunting experience of a lifetime in this high-fenced ranch of approximately 2200 acres and a chance to take a mature, trophy buck. Guests will receive the same quality services as all our gun deer hunting guests. Dead
Mans Pass Ranch's diverse habitat provides many choices for stand placement during
your stay and our staff will gladly make suggestions on where to select a stand.
Although we have deer stands located thought the property, we have recently established
Bow stands as well. Plus we always recommend that your bring one or two portable
climbing stands to take advantage of specific “deer hot spots”. Our
archery range is available for warming up before your hunt begins and the middle
of the day in between hunts. Management Our approach is to control our deer population to maintain a high ratio of quality bucks to does. Additionally, we use DMP pens to mate one quality buck with 20 select does. The best of the offspring are released back into the ranch through our scientific breeders program. The quality of our game has improved each year using proven scientific methods and strict harvest control. From what we have seen we expect 2007 to be the best ever.
